Petroleum engineers help sustain society’s way of life by ensuring we can meet our energy demands. They provide oil and gas in efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible ways. What will you do? Our Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Petroleum) is developed and taught by industry-trained academics through the Australian School of Petroleum and Energy Resources. This is Australia and Southeast Asia's academic centre for petroleum research and education, and the only school of its kind in Australia. You will: learn about petroleum engineering, petroleum geoscience and the oil industrytake courses in business and project managementdevelop technical knowledge and network with potential employersundertake interactive projects and field tripscomplete an eight-week practical experience. In your final year you’ll also carry out a major research project. Where could it take you? You’ll graduate as an accredited engineer. You could work for a range of oil, gas and energy companies, or find a role in a government agency. You might take up reservoir drilling and production.     The scholarship is a 15% or 30% tuition fee reduction for the duration of the chosen undergraduate or postgraduate course. 1. International students who will start the course award program at the University of Adelaide in 2024; 2. Applicants who enter undergraduate and postgraduate scholarship programs directly, including those who must take the Pre-Entrance English Program (PEP) before starting their degree; Applicants who meet the minimum scores 3. Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand) who are enrolled as international students; Eligible for a 15% scholarship, applicants who can prove that they have achieved the following minimum scores will be eligible for a 15% scholarship: 1. Applicants must have an ATAR score of at least 85 points (or equivalent) to enter undergraduate (UG) courses. 2. Applicants must have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 5.5 (out of 7.0), or have an equivalent score for admission to undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) courses. 3. Applicants who have completed their studies at the University of Adelaide with a minimum GPA of 5.0 out of 7.0 (or equivalent after completing their studies at an Australian university) will be eligible for scholarships at undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) level. 4. Applicants who have obtained an Australian vocational qualification and completed their studies in Australia with an overall non-graded pass (competency-based) will be eligible for a scholarship of up to 15%. Eligibility for 30% Scholarship Applicants who can demonstrate that they have achieved the following minimum scores will be eligible for a 30% scholarship: 1. Applicants must have an ATAR of at least 95 (or equivalent) for entry to undergraduate (UG) courses. 2. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 6.5 out of 7.0 or equivalent for entry to undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) courses. 3. Applicants who have completed their studies at the University of Adelaide with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 6.0 out of 7.0 (or equivalent upon completion of studies at an Australian university) may enter a scholarship program at undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) level.
