1. Faculty and Course Updates

1. Arts, Design and Architecture (Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture)

Launch of ADA Skills Passport: Empowering students for future development,The ADA Skills Passport is a new tool developed by the faculty in collaboration with students and industry partners.

Its purpose is to help arts, design, and architecture students:

  • Track their skill development throughout their learning process
  • Enhance their confidence in expressing their strengths when job hunting
  • Prepare for future career paths

2. Business School

Master global strategic professional capabilities through the Master of International Business

UNSW's Master of International Business program teaches global strategy, cross-cultural management, and sustainable business practices, giving students a competitive edge in the international business environment.

The program offers various specializations, including:

  • International Marketing
  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • International Human Resource Management
  • Societal Impact

3. Law and Justice (Faculty of Law and Justice)

Master of Laws specializations — Updated specializations for LLM starting from 2026

Starting from 2026, the LLM (Master of Laws) specializations will be streamlined from the current 8 to 5, focusing more on the faculty's core strengths and professional expertise. The new specializations include:

  • Corporate and Commercial Law
  • Criminal Justice and Criminology
  • Human Rights Law & Policy
  • International Law
  • Technology, Intellectual Property & Media Law


4. Medicine and Health (Faculty of Medicine and Health)

Women's Health and Reproductive Medicine courses relaunched

UNSW Medicine & Health has relaunched Australia's only fully online postgraduate courses in Women's Health and Reproductive Medicine.
These courses are designed for working professionals, offering multiple levels from Graduate Certificate to Master, with a progressive learning path.

The first intake is for Term 1 2026, with enrollment also open for Term 3 2026.


Future-focused medical education — UNSW medical program upgrade

UNSW's medical program system will undergo significant adjustments, planned to launch in 2028. All students enrolled before this will benefit from transitional arrangements for the new program.

The upgraded medical program will integrate:

  • Cutting-edge technology
  • Clinical practical experience
  • Global health perspectives



Bachelor of Public Health disestablished

Public Health undergraduate program canceled (no new admissions from 2026)

After a comprehensive review of the Bachelor of Public Health (3881) program, the faculty has decided to stop accepting new applications for this program from 2026.


5. Science (Faculty of Science)

Bachelor of Aviation (Flying) — Admission requirements changing from 2027

Starting from Term 1, 2027, the selection method for the Aviation Flying undergraduate program will be adjusted:

  • The original interview process will be replaced by an aptitude test
  • More details will be updated on the Degree Finder page after Term 1 2026



2. UNSW College (Foundation & Language)

1. Online UEEC — Improve English and meet UNSW language requirements from home

UNSW College's Online UEEC (OUEEC) course allows students to study English remotely from any location.

Upon successful completion of this course:

  • No need to take additional English exams
  • Can meet UNSW language requirements

The 2026 intake periods are: February, May, October (synchronized with UNSW terms)


2. UNSW College Scholarships for 2026 — Foundation and Language 2026 scholarships open

UNSW College has launched multiple scholarships for 2026 students, aiming to provide them with a more confident and recognized starting point for their studies.




3.Admissions and Scholarships

1. Some 2026 courses have closed applications

Due to continuously high application demand:

  • All undergraduate courses for 2026 have closed new NOSC applications
  • Postgraduate courses are still open for applications, but students are strongly advised to submit complete materials as early as possible

2. New course end dates (eCoE) have been synchronized with UNSW's 2028 new academic system

UNSW has updated the course end times for all new offers to match the Flex-semester new academic calendar to be implemented in 2028, ensuring:

  • Accurate offer and eCoE information
  • Avoidance of visa duration mismatch issues



4. Student Information Updates

1. Updated fee structure for minor students' CAAW

To meet stricter regulatory requirements for minor international students, starting from Term 1 2026:

  • CAAW registration fee: A$300
  • Minor care plan fee: A$10 per day

UNSW's minor care services include:

  • A dedicated Under 18 program coordinator (throughout the CAAW period)
  • Complete pre-arrival guide


2. myEnglish Week — Free language and campus integration activities

myEnglish Week is a free, interactive language enhancement and social program, including:

  • Oral improvement activities
  • Cross-cultural communication
  • Campus skills and learning workshops

The 2026 Term 1 event times are:
February 2, 2026 (Monday) to February 6, 2026 (Friday)
