VCE students received their VTAC results today (results from other states will be announced soon)

This email also serves as a reminder: VU Melbourne offers an exclusive 30% first-year scholarship* for international students completing Australian Year 12 studies. This scholarship will help students transition smoothly into university life.


Scholarship Key Points:

  • Scholarship Amount: 30% reduction in first-year undergraduate tuition fees (except for nursing programs, where a 10% scholarship is available for the first year). Subsequent years' scholarships range from 10% to 30%, based on the previous academic year's WAM.
  • Eligibility: Students must meet GSR requirements and the entry conditions for the relevant undergraduate program, and enroll in the relevant VU course in the first semester of 2026.
  • General Undergraduate Admission Requirements (for most programs): Completion of the Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (VCE or equivalent), with Units 3 & 4 requiring: a minimum score of 25 in English (EAL); or 20 in any other English subject. Some programs may require ATAR, higher English scores, or additional prerequisites.

Attached is a brief summary of the 2025 ATAR and other admission requirements for your reference.
Please note: The 2026 ATAR requirements may change based on the cohort of applicants that year, so the attachment is for reference only.


Additional Tips:

Australian Year 12 students who missed the VTAC application deadline can submit higher education course applications directly to VU through EAAMS starting from January 26, 2026.

Key details:

  • Scholarship Value: 30% off the first year’s tuition fees of Bachelor degree (except Nursing programs, the student will get 10% scholarship for the first year). Following Years' scholarships ranging from 10–30% based on the previous year’s WAM
  • Eligibility: Must meet GSR and course entry requirements for an eligible VU's Bachelor course, and the course must commence in Semester 1, 2026
  • General Admission criteria for the majority of Our Bachelor Programs: Completion of an Australian Senior Secondary Certificate (VCE or equivalent) including Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or 20 in any other English. Some courses may require ATAR, a higher EAL score and/or additional prerequisites.
